overnight - anyone else had this problem? one of the rear windows also only winds up 3/4 when using the button, you have to pull on the window to get it to close altogether. Audi is 4 years old.

Audi is 4 years old. bmwdave 10-28-2008, 09:30 PM have the comfort opening function removed, the windows will open even from inside your house if you sit on the keys or the kids play with the key buttons. The rear window fault is separate issue and the regulator needs to be checked mick 10-28-2008, 09:30 PM The window motors have sensors that can tell if a window is stiff to shut .The reason for this is if a child's hand was caught in the window going up they will automatically retract it a safety device.Because your rear window is stiff the system thinks it has something stuck in it therefore it retracts.You need to lubricate the rubber window surrounds the one the glass slides in use WD40 this should fix your problem.Regards Mick UK owned and work on Audi.Take no notice of the doom merchants you have an excellent car. |
