I have an 05 Porsche 911 Carrera S, the winters in Canada force me to have another car to drive when it snows (currently a Ford Fusion, which i really like), but i'd like to upgrade to a higher end car for the winter and for passengers, so its been narrowed down to these two. I love them both, i would love some insight because i cannot decide.

well just to give u some image advice, I here in the UK would pick a audi over a merc anyday(not a bad car mind(well at least not all of them, there are some good merc out there)..but audi has the style image - robustness, quality, features(i hope) etc etc, never ever heard anyone complain about an audi old or new, yet on the other hand some people do complain about certain model mercs for wateva reason, one thing for sure they are blinkin expensive to run, with their bigg CC's etc, sorry cant give you any techincal advise but audi all the way for m anyday!!!! and im sure quite a few people i know would back me up on that ...go to www.parkers.co.uk website and get some owners reviews, that way you get honest answers from normal people that actually own the car and go from there ,,,,

These are both wonderful cars both is elegant design and car make themselves....

Did you have a chance to testdrive both?

That will be the best way to choose. Don't leave out any small details either while giving it a test drive. Check out which electronic systems you like best, their audio systems (the B&O on the Audi is an excellent upgrade), how they feel look and drive. All that stuff and make sure you check all their features....that's all

Mercedes, simply because it just had a model change and if you buy an A8 now in year or so your going to be dissapointed because of the model change "2010 Audi A8" i would chose the 2010 a8 over the s550 but if you purchase now go with the S550.
