I'm looking into buying a 2006 S4 from a friend of mine for my son and was wondering if this is a fairly reliable car. I do not want to have to get work performed on it often. It has 55,000 miles and is fairly good condition. I'd hate to buy this car and then have it constantly be in the shop, so I was just wondering from people's previous experiences what your opinions are. Also, the car is chipped which in turn voids any warranty that might be on the car, so any small thing, as I know as 12 year audi owner myself, can get very expensive. I'm mainly wondering about the engine, transmission, etc... I know that with Audi small things breaking are inevitable. I'm grateful for any input you may have.
