I recently received a letter from Audi about ignition coil replacement and my 100,000 mile check up. I figured I'd wait until school got out (early Dec) to take it in. Well I started it up today and it was shaking pretty bad with the CEL blinking, until I revved the engine. It was fine after that(though all I did was move my car further up the driveway). Searched online and, what do you know, this is typically attributed to bad ignition coils. Now my problem is, the closest Audi Service center is about 75 miles away. Would it be possible to drive it there or should I just have it towed?
Another problem is, the earliest I could schedule an appointment for service was the Friday after Thanksgiving(made the appointment on-line, center was closed for the day). Would I be wasting my time trying to get them take it any earlier?
