I have an 2001 A6 4.2 with 175K miles on it. I have a coolant leak coming from the passenger side above the alternator. The car does not overheat but the coolant is leaking when there is a large (>40 degree) ambient temperature change. It does not leak oil, there is no white smoke coming from the exhaust. Where is the leak coming from? How do I fix it?
