Should I buy an Extended Warranty for my Audi A6 before the manufacturers warranty comes due? From whom?

I'm a strong advocate for the purchase of an extended warranty under the right circumstances.

As a prior service mamanger of new car dealerships I've seen many cases where customers wished they had purchased.

It's somewhat of a risk of course, you may never use it, but if you need it, you have it.

The best warranty is one from Audi if they offer one, if not be careful, there are many fly by night companies that are here today and gone tomorrow.

Do some research and only consider those who have been in business for quite some time.

It depends on your situation. Are you planning on keeping the A6 for a long time? Audi's have expensive parts so it may be worth it. If you move from car to car often it may be a waste of money.

If you buying a used car - It is best to get an extended warranty. But if you are buying a new car, I would not suggest it. The manufacturer's warraty is enuf, Plus its a new car,.
