hi i am new to this whole site and audis in general i am from messing with nothing except older muscle cars so jumping to this audi is a little different a buddy of mine told me i could turn up my boost on my stock turbo with out blowing anything can someone explain to me how i do this and what is safe and what is not safe? thanks alot

im not going to tell you to do so, as the ecu controls every part of the boost curve and duration, but on the older turbo cars you could turn the acuater to let it hold a higher peak psi from standstill. true way is to get it remapped, dosnt cost alot, £200 ish and easy 40-50bhp increase with a nice 20/25lbs. depending on engine code.
personally you could use a manual boost valve or turn the acuater in a few turns, problem is if the ecu sees the spike a threat your force the ecu in to limp mode as soon as it spikes, also spiking isnt a good way of achiving power of the line. as the psi will just settle to stock levels any way. ive not played with these vag engines so only going of what ive learnt from the ford/renualt/fiat
the best and safest way is a remap is the bottom line
