I have an issue with a 2000 Audi A4. ABS and brake ligts coming on at times. Pinned down to ABS module. The company I work for didn't want to spend the money for a new one so we bought a used one. Issue is after I put in new one the ABS and brake light came on. I also can not communicate with module. If I plug in the old ABS module the light goes out. The numbers match on the pump housing P/N 8E0614111A.
My question is should the used one we recieved work and be able to communicate with tester at least, or does it need to be taken to dealer for reprogram?
It is very possible we got a junk used module. With so many of these modules being bad.
