I have a 2007 328xi and i love it! I have had it for over a year and have a no problems other than someone breaking the window. Stupid high schoolers! It is very reasonable for the price. The A5 isnt worth the price when you could just as nice a car for 15k less. Go for the beamer.

ummmm. probably the a5. it does seem to have the largest engine. but there have been many problems with audis, and same things with bmws. but i would buy the audi.

hmm personally, id go with the A5.

I've had problems with BMW's in reliablity. my parents once owned a seven series, and it broke down every other week. after a year, they returned it, losiing 10 grand all togeather on teh sticker price

but all my life, i've been driving audis/volkswagens. They are wondeful cars, and there incredibly safe. They're stylish, and they're less of them on the road. They also have magnificant service. :)

good luck and happy driving!

I personally like the 328i. I have an old bmw. A 1998 328is, and I love it. My brother has a 1999 A4, and he's had many problems with his. No matter what vehicle you get, you're bound to run into problems. Het which ever one you want, flip a coin. Have the bmw be tails- tails never fails!

Pros for a BMW 328i: Perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, potent and refined engines, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations, convertible's sleek retractable hardtop.

Pros for a Audi A5: Elegant design inside and out, crisp handling, superb fit and finish, plenty of luxury and safety features, standard all-wheel drive.

Cons for the BMW: Costs more than most competitors, not much interior storage space

Cons for the A5: Brakes can be touchy until you acclimate, rear seat short on room for taller passengers.

Now me being a 1999 Audi A6 owner i know personally that Audi is not the most reliable car out on the market.
BMW for one has more power than the Audi A5. Plus both cars are about the same cost. If you get the BMW I would recommend the 335xi coupe.

The A5 is too new to know what the long term problems are likely to be. It is pretty well an all new car. Having said that most Audi's are built so well that they would survive pretty well anything thrown at them.

I have an A5 with the 3.0TDI engine. It's superb. Lovely to drive, looks stunning and is very fast too. The petrol engine is not really worth it. The diesel is just so smooth and there's so much torque.

Only downside to the A5 is the amount of space in the back. I wouldn't want to take two adults on a long trip.

The BMW is just a little bit too common for me.

best way is goto the dealership drive the nicest a5 they have and than goto the bmw dealership and drive the 328i. only than will you realize you just wasted an hour at the audi dealership.
