The turbo signifies that when you get up to a certain speed it accelerates even faster. So no. It is fast but only when it has reached a certain speed. If you want immediate racing power look for the one that says super charged. It's a decent car but it just depends what your looking for in a car. Shoot me an e-mail I'll be glad to help.

An Audi A4 is a good car. Its a luxury brand name, made from quality german engineered parts. The 1.8 Turbo means that it has a 1.8 Liter (How much room in the cylinders of the engine) Turbocharged engine. A turbocharger can greatly improve a car's performance over a naturally aspirated one. The Turbcharger is a small turbine (fan) that all the exhaust hits as it leave the engine. The turbine spins on a rod and on the other side is another turbine that sucks air into the engine faster.

Theres alot of inovative things on this car that make it outperform alot of other cars. It hase 20 valves across 4 cylinders for better aspiration, exhaust, and fuel atomization. It has quattro, an AWD system that can deliver power to all four wheels.

Anyway, my friend has an A4 1.8T with Quattro and a manual transmission. I have driven this in the New England winter and its a blast to drive.
