I have a 2002 Audi A4 Quattro, stick shift. The RPM hits 3000 at 60 mph and is around 4000 when crossing 70 mph. Is this normal? I do not see this happening with other brand cars.

are the rpms dancing at all? this happened when my clutch went last month...i was at 40 mph and when i tried going faster the only thing that would happen is the rpms would start dancing between 3500 and 5500 and the speed would very gradually rise until the clutch plate imploded on itself
