Gutted Pre-Cats??

I have found some videos of a 2003 RS6 like mine running REALLY WELL, and the video says the pre-cats have been gutted. Only mods are custom tuned ECU/TCU, and the gutted pre-cats, and the car runs 11.70 in a 1/4 mile consistantly. WOW!! I do not see any pre-cats on my car. I do see catalytic converters, but no pre-cats. Maybe I'm just not seeing them. Does the 2003 RS6 have pre-cats? And if so, how do you gut them out? If anyone knows, please enlighten me!! Thanks!!
